Tour Information

Come and explore three floors showcasing this unique historical landmark!

The Archives and Museum provides tours of its historic building through self-guided and guided tours.
Please fill out this Tour Request form to get started.

Self-guided tours are best for up to 10 people and are free of charge.

• They are booked using a Google form for either the morning (9 a.m. to noon) or in the afternoon (1 - 3 p.m.)
• The average self-guided tour takes approximately 1 to 2 hours in length.
• We ask that when booking a self-guided tour you provide at least 48 hours (i.e. 2 working days) notice.
• Self-guided tours generally are booked for Thursdays and when school is not in session (e.g. Professional Development days). You can view the 2024-25 School Year Calendar here. 
• Have some fun on your tour and try our scavenger hunt. 

Guided tours are for groups of 10 or more (to a maximum of 20 people).

• They are 90 minutes in length.
• A tour guide will meet with your group on the front steps of historic McKay Avenue School, Archives and Museum.
• The cost for these tours is a flat rate of $200 + GST.
