TOUR INFORMATION

Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum offers both self-guided and guided tours of historic McKay Avenue School. Request a self-guide or guided tour using our Tour Request form


Self-Guided Tours

  • Self-guided tours are best for up to 10 people and are free of charge
  • Self-Guided tours occur in the morning (9 a.m. to noon) or in the afternoon (1 - 3 p.m.)
  • The average self-guided tour takes approximately 1 to 2 hours
  • Have some fun on your tour and try our scavenger hunt quiz
  • Visit the General Office (2nd Floor) to receive a small prize after completing the scavenger hunt! 

Guided Tours

  • Guided tours are for groups of 10 or more (to a maximum of 20 people)
  • The cost for guided tours is a flat rate of $200 + GST. 
  • They are 90 minutes in length
  • A tour guide will meet with your group on the front steps of Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum, located in historic McKay Avenue School
  • Kindly give us at least five business days' notice so the office can organize a tour guide

 


Keep in Mind

  • Tours are generally booked on Thursdays and days school is not in session 
  • View the 2025-26 Division Calendar to identify non-operational days
